The East African Development Bank (EADB) is an international development finance institution
whose mandate is to promote the sustainable economic development of the East African Community. Shareholders of the EADB are Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, the African Development Bank (ADB) and other international financial institutions. The Bank seek, competent, professional and experienced individuals who are committed to the development of East Africa to take up the following  position:

Principal Legal Officer
The Principal Legal Officer provides advice on a wide range of legal issues relating to the functions and activities of the Bank, negotiating and drafting bilateral and syndicated loan documentation and related term sheets, security, guarantees and other ancillary documentation, project finance and structured finance transactions.

The Principal Legal Officer must have hands-on ability and senior level experience in drafting and negotiating international and cross border financing agreements, syndications, debt restructuring, work-outs and settlements and security enforcement. Investments and derivative transactions are additional areas of responsibility.

The Principal legal Officer must be able to evaluate, structure, and close transactions and have demonstrated ability and experience in developing practical solutions to support a variety of business transactions.

The Principal Legal Officer will be called upon to support the Banks' governance organs, committees and meetings.
