The East African Development Bank (EADB) is an international development finance institution
whose mandate is to promote the sustainable economic development of the East African Community. Shareholders of the EADB are Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, the African Development Bank (ADB) and other international financial institutions. The Bank seek, competent, professional and experienced individuals who are committed to the development of East Africa to take up the following  position:

Head of Operations 
Report, to the Director-General, the Head of Operations is expected to drive the Bank, operations, leading the development of lending policies, systems and processes to ensure a robust and growing loan portfolio; effective management of the Bank's operations, development and execution of an effective relevant staff training programme and mentoring Bank staff to ensure excellent service delivery and sustainable growth of its business consistent with its mandate.

 The Head of Operations is expected to ensure strategic relevance, economic impact, sustainability and quality of the Bank's lending operations as well as the establishment, monitoring and evaluation of service standards.

This role needs strong analytical, financial and credit skills and extensive hands-on experience in designing, implementing, managing and delivering successful projects, demonstrated experience in structuring a range of relevant debt and equity instruments having worked in lending institutions in the Private sector in emerging markets at appropriate levels. ,.

 also requires strong operational skills, business acumen and the ability to engage a diverse variety of stakeholders and staff. Hands-on experience in project and structured finance, asset finance, sovereign debt and leading loan syndicates as lead arranger, loan pricing, loan documentation and managing debt syndication is also required.

 Additional skills include the management, work-out and enforcement of distressed assets.
