Stores Controller at Zambia Cargo & Logistics Limited
STORES CONTROLLER.
The Stores Controller is response. for stores management and record Keeping of Stock.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Supervise storage of all supplies, equipment, furniture and consumable materials
2. Supervise Stock control function, identification or stored items and materials handling,
3. Support and supervise inspection Activities
4. Maintain and update proper books of stores
5. Supervise receipt of all goods and prepare Goods Receipt Note
6. Process receiving, discrepancy. and damage reports as needed.
7. Supervise all issuing and dispatch and prepare Goods issue Note
8. Supervise Stocktaking
9. Innate all stores purchase requests to keep stock items available at all tines
10. Supervise. evaluate, and train employees assigned to stores
11. Correct unsafe conditions in work area and report any conditions that are not correctable to supervisors.
12. Participate In budget development and exercise budgetary control over stores operations
13. Working in other areas of the Procurement department to provide
support during abSenCeS or shortage of staff to perform duties ssociated with procurement.
14. Flexibility and understanding whenever required in performing duties outside normal area of Stores to meet mission and goals of the Procurement Department.
15 The Stores Supervisor is reqired to inspect the books and any other deliveriesmade by other suppliers made and report to procurement office for any errors before goods are accepted to stores.
16. Ensure that rules and regulations relating to physical custody and preservation of stores are followed

• Accounts Payable Knowledge

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE
• Fivee (05) years experience as a stores controller
• Team player
• Computer literate in word processing, excel. Internet and email,
• Person of high integrity and ethical standards
• Relevant degree qualification in Stores management Bachelor's degree in any commercial field will also be considered
• Good command of English and Swahili.
