Yard Supervisor at Kilombero Sugar Company
Kilombero Sugar Company, the largest producer of sugar in the country is also producing alcohol. Yard Supervisor existing in the Company.
The successful candidate will be required to control the activities of the stores yard (with approximately 10 general laborers) which will include storage and stacking, loading and offloading of trucks and general housekeeping. To take responsibility of the items those are stored in the store yard. The store yard may include all outside areas covered or uncovered.
To ensure proper arrangement and material identification of all items stored in the yard meanwhile driving cost down and improving performance
Qualifications and competencies required:
Advance Diploma or Degree in Procurement or Inventory Management
Tasks:
1. Ensure items are issued timely and correctly. 2. Ensure items are in correct location 3. Ensure bills are clean and tidy 4. Manage all labours 5. Manage Yard Stock location 6. Manage Yard stock Material Identification Numbers 7. Ensure Store Material Safety Data Sheets are updated and comply 8. Offloading Safety 9. Maintenance of Yard item arrangement 10. Store & Yard Cleanliness 11. Drive 5S in the store and yard 12. To inspect all external building, lights and fence to be in working order 13. To manage Gas stocks and empty cylinders inventory 14. To drive safety awareness in material handling 15. Maintain security in the yards during working hours 16. Manage control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and discrepancies are highlighted, addressed and resolved 17. Possess the ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail and quality to the satisfaction of users
Ensure all processes are executed in accordance with ISO 22000 and local good practices for safety, health, environment and quality
TERMS OF SERVICE: The successful candidate will be engaged on a permanent contract.
